2023 Litter Sweep
Registration is now open for the City of Lowell Litter Sweep! The event will be on Saturday, April 15, 2023, 9am-12pm.
This is an opportunity to help keep our community beautiful and keep our waterways clean while enjoying the outdoors. Did you know that street litter often washes down storm drains, which in turn pollutes our rivers and streams? That pollution can eventually affect our drinking water once it enters into our local watersheds!
Volunteers will meet at Lowell City Hall at 9:00am for check-in. Walk-up registration is also welcome the morning of the event. A limited number of trash grabbers and vests are available for loan to individuals that pre-register. We will also have coffee, water, and snacks available for our volunteers.
Disposable gloves, trash bags, instructions and maps to cleanup sites will be provided at check-in. Participants are encouraged to bring reusable work gloves and a reusable water bottle to reduce waste. Supplies must be returned to the check-in site by 12pm.
