Duties

The Planning Department of the City of Lowell exists to provide assistance to property owners, residents, administration, and elected or appointed officials regarding the development and use of land.

Zoning, subdivision, and various other regulations are drafted by Planning Staff for Planning Board and City Councils' acceptance, which are then enforced by the Planning Department.
