Surplus Property

Public Auctions

Public auctions are held primarily for the disposal of motor vehicles and off road equipment and are usually scheduled annually. Notices are published in the local newspaper, this website and/or other media which provide information about the upcoming auction.

Internet Auctions

The City of Lowell has expanded its surplus disposal methods to include online Internet auctions for the sale of surplus personal property. Select property will be auctioned through the online auction services of GovDeals. These services provide the City with the opportunity to dispose of surplus on an ongoing basis.

You must register with the respective provider in order to bid on an item, but you do not have to register to view what items are available. All items are sold "as is, where is" and the City of Lowell reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
