As of 2023, four homeowners have received assistance from the CDBG program and five more homeowners will have work starting soon. Some of these home repairs include: treating lead paint issues, flooring replacements, termite treatments, replacing water damaged walls, exterior work, and more.
What is CDBG? The federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is one of the longest continuously run programs administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The program’s purpose is to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities.
