Parks & Recreation

The Lowell Parks and Recreation Department's role is to create a healthy community through diverse and innovative recreation programming. We provide space to learn and play, space to be safe and secure, and space to create and imagine. Our goal is to meet the recreational needs of all of our residents as well as visitors in our wonderful city. We will continue to develop and bring new and exciting programs and events to all residents.

Summer Pen Pal Program for Kids

Is your child looking for a summer pen pal? If so, fill out the form below and your child will be assigned to one of our Parks and Recreation staff members! Our summer pen pal program will give kids the opportunity to learn how to write letters while having something to look forward to! We’ll even include a return stamp in our letters so an envelope, paper, and a pen will be all your child needs!

*This free program is open to Lowell residents only. Registration open on a limited basis.*
